Thomas Wivel, author and debater, delivers a lecture with particular focus on his relationship with Israel. Wivel is one of the pioneers of Danish stand-up comedy since his debut in 1991 and has worked extensively over the years with scriptwriting, poetry, theater, radio satire and literature.
Wivel has appeared in numerous TV programs, including as scriptwriter for Gintberg's big evening and the entertainment show 9 out of 10 on TV2. He has been co-author of children's programs Svikmøllen and Blæksprutten and has performed at Comedy Zoo.
As an author, Wivel has published an extensive catalog of works spanning both children's literature and debate books. In recent years, he has particularly explored Middle East themes through works such as Mine Hænder brænder (On Israel's Necessity), Skudårets Spejlsal (On the Wars in the Middle East) and De visionære provokatører. Wivel currently studies theology, which contributes to his writing with deeper perspective.
