This intensive weekend workshop is designed for aspiring students preparing for entrance exams at The Danish School of Performing Arts. You will work on selecting and developing your monologue to make it authentic, expressive, and present. The workshop focuses on integrating voice, body, thought, and emotion into a cohesive whole, creating authenticity that originates from within you.
During the workshop, you explore your monologue in depth, record it digitally, and receive feedback on whether your intentions come across to the audience. You also work technically on movement, voice, subtext, and improvisation techniques. Teaching alternates between individual work and group workshops, with the group's needs determining the focus.
Instructor: Anni Bjørn, trained at The Drama Studio in London and San Francisco. She has experience as an actor, director, film performer, and teacher at drama schools and folk high schools.
Practical: Bring at least 2 monologue options (max 3 minutes each), which you must memorize and be ready to present. The FO-Aarhus discount code cannot be applied.
