The Mousetrap is a classic crime play by Agatha Christie presented in a modern staging. At the remote guesthouse Monkswell Manor, a group of strangers becomes snowed in while a murder nearby is reported on the radio. When a skiing police commissioner arrives, suspicion grows that the killer is among the guests, and after another murder, everyone is both a suspect and a potential next victim.
The play has had over 30,000 performances in London’s West End since its premiere in 1952 and is regarded as one of Agatha Christie’s best-known theatre classics. Agatha Christie was a British crime writer and playwright, famous for her murder mysteries and characters such as Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
