Anxiety is one of the most common psychological challenges among children and young people and can significantly impact well-being, social relationships, and daily life. But what exactly is anxiety, and what factors contribute to its emergence?
Psychologist and lecturer in clinical child psychology Johanne Jeppesen Lomholt from Aarhus University presents a research-based approach to anxiety in children and adolescents. Drawing on both clinical experience and current research, she examines how anxiety manifests itself, which risk factors play a role – including the significance of family – and how anxiety develops over time.
The lecture provides knowledge about different types of anxiety and insight into how researchers today investigate early preventive measures and prevention.
The event is part of the Folk University's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds.
