Coach, mental trainer, and adventurer Rasmus Kragh takes you on a personal and inspiring journey through some of the world's most extreme environments. From summiting Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen to completing a solo expedition to the South Pole to spending 63 days alone in the Finnish wilderness as the winner of DR's Alone in the Wilderness, he shares experiences from situations where plans collapsed, information was scarce, and decisions had serious consequences.
Through dramatic stories, honest reflections, and behind-the-scenes tales, the lecture explores how we prepare for the unexpected, stay calm under pressure and uncertainty, hold onto hope and agency when everything goes wrong, and how curiosity and adaptability open new pathways when the plan no longer works. It is a concrete and thought-provoking presentation on human resilience: you cannot control the outcome, but you can take responsibility for your preparation, your direction, and how you face the situation.
The event is part of the theme day "Together on Preparedness" at Dokk1, arranged in collaboration with DR, the Danish Folk Education Council, and Østifterne.
