Historian Niels Bjerre-Poulsen, one of Denmark's most cited experts on American history, explores what the United States' past reveals about the nation today. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary on July 4th — amid deeper divisions than ever — Bjerre-Poulsen examines the historical currents shaping the present.
A prolific author on American history, including works on the Vietnam War and the American middle class, Bjerre-Poulsen has been a regular contributor toRÆSON magazine since its founding and co-authored the latest edition of "Verdens Magter" (Sixth edition, 2025). The lecture runs from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM and is followed by an opportunity for audience questions.
