Noura Mint Seymali takes the stage at turkis for a concert where Mauritanian griot tradition meets psychedelic guitar and driving rhythms. Together with her long-standing ensemble, she creates a modern and boundary-pushing sound world with great intensity and musical depth.

Noura Mint Seymali is regarded as Mauritania’s most prominent international artist and has established herself as a leading figure in contemporary African music. Joining her on stage are guitarist Jeich Ould Chighaly, bassist Ousmane Touré, and drummer Matthew Tinari. In November 2025, she released the album Yenbett, recorded mainly in Nouakchott, and in 2025 she received the WOMEX Artist Award for her lifetime achievement.
