Join a guided tour through the exhibition Heat Wave: Contemporary Photography from Brazil at Galleri Image. Curatorial assistant Asta Nyyssönen shows you around and provides special insight into works by six Brazilian artists.
The exhibition, curated by Debora Moritz, explores human warmth, climate anxiety, diversity and cultural transformation through photographs spanning Brazil's five geopolitical regions — North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast and South — plus an artist representing the Brazilian diaspora. The artists UÝRA, Val Souza, Gê Viana, Marco Antônio Filho, Diego Bresani and Lívia Melzi together create a constellation of perspectives on dwelling in shared territory shaped by different histories, environments and rhythms.
The tour takes place as part of Behind Culture, an initiative by Kultursamvirket that opens doors to the behind-the-scenes work and processes shaping Aarhus' cultural landscape.
