A festive opera concert featuring singing students from DJM, Aarhus Amateur Symphony Orchestra, and Chorus Aros. The programme consists of scenes, ensembles, and arias from opera and operetta repertoire — a celebration of the genre's ability to portray human emotion through the interplay of music and theatre.
The orchestra, choir, and soloists perform works by composers including Mozart, Mascagni, Bizet, Offenbach, Lehár, Johan Strauss, Massenet, Bellini, Thomas, and Delibes. Many of the scenes are staged to underscore the stories that opera retells. Conductor Asbjørn Damgaard Faleide leads this ambitious production.
