The Orchestra Festival is Denmark's largest classical music festival for children and young people, where talented musicians from across the country gather to play together what they have learned. This musical event brimming with symphonic experiences and genuine musical joy takes place at Musikhuset in Aarhus.
The entire day offers free admission to countless orchestra concerts and musical activities. You are free to come and go between performances and enjoy the music at your own pace—experience the full program or listen to just your favorite pieces. In the foyer and across all of Musikhuset's stages, you will find plenty of interactive musical activities that the whole family can take part in.
A special focus shines on unique orchestra instruments. This year it is the oboe's turn to take the spotlight as the festival's featured instrument.
The festival traces its roots back to 2012 at DR Koncerthuset, and over the years it has brought together hundreds of music enthusiasts from different skill levels, all united by their love of orchestral music. For the past three years, the event has made its home in Aarhus.
