PAL:DOK 2026 presents a special evening featuring a presentation and film screening as part of the Palestine Documentary Film Festival. The event takes place at DOKK1 in collaboration between Palestine Film Festival and the library.
The evening opens with a presentation by Jonathan Ofir, a Danish-Israeli musician, conductor, and writer who has been based in Denmark since 1995. Ofir regularly writes analyses of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for the American online newspaper Mondoweiss and is active in the organization Jews for a Just Peace.
The documentary film "Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem" then follows, exploring Banksy's secret art museum in Bethlehem. The film guides viewers through the hotel with its distinctive "world's worst view" while unfolding a larger narrative about occupied Palestine. The work emphasizes artistic protest as an important form of resistance and reflects on the significance of history today.
