The Per Chr. Frost Award celebrates Aarhus music with a festive evening in Rytmisk sal. The award was established from the proceeds of the 2024 memorial concert for Aarhus guitarist and former Gnags bassist Per Chr. Frost, who passed away the year before. During the award celebration, the statuette, designed by Aarhus artist Hans Krull, is presented to a local musician who has made a particularly strong impression.
The programme includes a concert with a house band, performances by soloists, and a mini concert with this year's award winner. In 2025, the significant award was presented to Aarhus-based Kajsa Vala, who has performed several times at Musikhuset and also taken part in the free talk format ALBUM. The event takes place at Musikhuset Aarhus, and admission is 350 kr.
