One of Denmark's most prominent contemporary songwriters returns to Musikhuset with a theatrical full-length performance. Peter Sommer and Palle Hjorth fill Symfonisk Sal with a unique experience where music meets scenography, light and costumes in a boundary-free blend of concert and theatre.
For over 20 years, Peter Sommer has written introspective songs about doubt, everyday life and life's big questions. Together with composer and musician Palle Hjorth, both popular and lesser-known numbers gain new life through fresh arrangements. The show is structured as two acts, where the songs have room to develop from delicately fragile to monumentally dramatic – never just as a traditional duo concert.
The programme draws from Sommer's extensive catalogue but also features brand new interpretations from their forthcoming album PSPHPT 2. An evening where sound, light and image are created together to form something entirely new.
