Meet Peter Viggo Jakobsen, lecturer at the Royal Danish Defence College, as he analyzes the current world order and offers his assessment of developments in the years ahead. Jakobsen is a recognized expert who, through his profound knowledge and communication skills, makes complex security policy issues accessible to all.
In this lecture, Jakobsen presents his analysis of the global security situation and its consequences for Denmark on both security and economic levels. He explains the deteriorating relationship between major powers, which limits the possibility of coordinated action and creates space for multiple international actors. As a result, the world risks entering a new Cold War between the US/NATO and Russia/China, while the global trade system as we have known it since the Soviet Union's collapse may come to an end.
