Pligten Kalder visits Musikhuset Aarhus for a concert centered on the quartet’s own universe of "Noget Trist og Selvsmagende". The group consists of Torben Steno, Søren Mikkelsen, Peter Jessen and Johan Olsen, and since the release of the album Til Afståelse in 2024, they have once again raised their ambitions. Audiences can expect black humor, poetic and melodic songs, and the particular blend of melancholy and subtle undertones that has defined the band for nearly 20 years.
The concert is also described as a celebration of Torben Steno’s upgrade to old-age pensioner status. A small disco ball is promised, while plans for an indoor pyrotechnic crescendo have been abandoned. Johan Olsen is also known as a researcher and as the frontman of Magtens Korridorer.
