Polite will perform at Phono with songs from the critically acclaimed EP The Green House Has Been Asking About You, while a debut album is set for release this autumn. The Copenhagen-based project is led by singer-songwriter Karina Kaleda, and the music moves between understated passages and a more extroverted, cathartic expression, with lyrics centered on vulnerability, social heritage, and existentialism.
Gaffa and Soundvenue awarded the act 5 stars and drew comparisons to Aldous Harding and The Weather Station. Joining on stage are Anders Bak Mejlvang (bass and keys), Carl Juul Nielsen (guitar) and Morten Brok Steffensen (drums). Admission: 160 kr + possible fee.
