A self-centered author from a Danish provincial town participates in a local novel competition. His artistic temperament leads him to make unreasonable demands on everyone around him – he expects both the household's other residents and the world in general to adapt to his wishes.
Rumors circulate about his upcoming victory, but when the truth emerges, it turns out that it is not his manuscript that is nominated for first prize. This triggers a flurry of desperate attempts to save both face and honor, and in the process he comes into conflict with his wife, children and housekeeper. An evening full of both humor and unexpected chaos.
Aabyhøj Amateur Theater's directors Lis Helleberg and Iben Hayduk invite you into Johannes Allen's witty comedy – an entertaining theatrical adventure filled with laughter and outrageous situations.
Tickets cost 120 kr and include coffee, pastries and goose breast during the interval. Diabetes-friendly options are available upon booking.
