A musical interpretation of Richard Wagner's classic opera cycle »The Ring of the Nibelung«, adapted for children and families. Four operas are merged into one continuous adventure about gods, Valkyries and dwarves, where the struggle for a magical ring drives the story from the gods' fortress to the depths of the underworld.
The production explores themes of friendship, power and the consequences when power is misused. Through music and drama, it is created as a wonderful first experience of Wagner's masterpiece for 7-12-year-olds and their families.
Directed by Mia Lipschitz and based on a libretto by Camilla Hübbe, featuring Christian Balvig and Peter Pade.
Practical: The performance runs 60 minutes with no interval and takes place at Musikhuset Aarhus.
