Rock Talks: Jimi Hendrix

"Rock Talks: Jimi Hendrix" brings the audience closer to Jimi Hendrix through words, images, audio clips, and anecdotes. The focus is on the music, the myth, and the dramatic stories of triumphs, conflicts, scandals, masterpieces, and concerts that helped shape both Danish and international music history. This particular talk has a special local connection, as the last concert Jimi Hendrix played before his death took place in Vejlby-Risskov Hallen.

The talk is presented by Thomas Ulrik Larsen, an experienced Danish music communicator with more than 350 music lecture events since 2012. He has written for Gaffa, Musikeren, Ud & Se, Politiken, and the Swedish magazine MM, and also works as a music school teacher, guitarist, and songwriter under the alias Lysår. Hendrix is regarded as one of the most influential guitarists in rock history and is known for his groundbreaking sound and short, intense career.
