Ryan Young holds a Master of Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has made an international name for himself with his releases of traditional Scottish tunes. His debut album from 2017 was produced by Jesse Lewis in Glasgow, and the follow-up just a second was released in the United Kingdom in October 2023. He has also toured extensively, from Australia to Austria.
