How do we talk to children and young people about global crises without increasing their worries? This lecture addresses children's and young people's reactions to words like "hybrid warfare", "drones" and "emergency preparedness" that they encounter in news and social media.
Gain insight into what children and young people are concerned about, according to Børns Vilkår and their work with the Children's Helpline and HØRT. Experts share practical strategies for creating a sense of security through open dialogue and familiar routines — both before and during crises. There is an opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences.
The event is part of the theme day "Together on Emergency Preparedness" at the library, where lectures, activities and discussions about preparedness take place all day in collaboration with DR, Danish Association for Public Education and Østifterne. A free ticket is recommended to secure a place.
