Yoga teacher and author Simon Krohn invites you to an inspiring evening about finding calm and balance when life feels overwhelming. The lecture explores how the brain's reptilian system reacts to stress with excessive vigilance – tension, worry, and rumination that often lock into place. Simon presents yoga and meditation techniques that can break these patterns and reduce self-reinforcing anxiety.
With 25+ years of experience in yoga and meditation plus a background in philosophy and body therapy, Simon works to make these tools accessible to people under psychological stress – from elite athletes to soldiers and psychiatric patients. He has developed the popular "RO" app focused on young people's mental wellbeing, which has been downloaded over 70,000 times.
The event is arranged by FOF Aarhus and Dokk1. The lecture is for everyone with emotions – you don't need prior yoga experience or be in a life crisis to gain value from attending.
