Skab! at Dokk1 – Author and Illustration Workshop

Skab! is an open creative workshop for serious authors and illustrators seeking professional fellowship and inspiration. Today the workshop is held as a pop-up event at Dokk1 instead of at its regular location at Godsbanen.

Each session begins with a 30-45 minute warm-up exercise combining text and image. Afterwards, there is quiet working time for participants to work on their own projects or draw inspiration from the workshop atmosphere.

Today's Theme

Islands and Island Texts – Create a Mini-Universe. Hosts Annie Bahnson and Anya Winqvist bring blank islands and island words, which you bring to life with character, place names, and perhaps a population. Feel free to bring a thin black pen. You can continue working with your island throughout the evening or focus on your own projects.

The event is free, thanks to the Danish Authors' Association and Aarhus Municipality's Cultural Development Fund.
