The Writing Festival returns for its third edition with a two-day programme dedicated to the world of literature. From November 21–22, 2026, the festival invites authors and journalists to share their experiences, creative processes, and sources of inspiration behind their works. Participants will hear about everything from plot and character development to dialogue and romantic scenes.
The festival offers three ways to experience the event:
- Lectures and conversations at Teater Katapult featuring authors such as Johanne Bille, Elias Sadaq, Dorthe Nors, Kristina Stoltz, Anne Skov Thomsen, Andrea Hejlskov, Louise Juhl Dalsgaard, Asta Olivia Nordenhof, Kristian Bang Foss, Jacob Søndergaard, Ingrid Nymo, Sanna Laursen, Tina Frank, and Steffen Damkjær Moestrup
- Practical workshops in Train Car 1, where you can try your hand at writing yourself
- Opportunity to visit authors' studios and gain insight into how books and articles are created
As Scandinavia's largest festival focused on the art of writing, the event combines theory and practice – whether you are interested in narrative non-fiction, novels, poetry, or other forms.
