Stig Rossen presents his traditional and beloved Christmas concert, complete with festive cheer on stage. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this family-friendly event, celebrated with the newly released album Julefred, bringing extra coziness to homes.
The stage features the warmth of a large fireplace, decorated with beautiful Christmas trees, lanterns, and a classic armchair from which the year's Christmas story is read aloud. The concert offers a broad repertoire from traditional Christmas hymns to gospel-inspired modern Christmas songs. Stig Rossen performs with his regular Christmas ensemble, led by conductor Thomas Jaque with his 6-piece band and four solid chorus voices. The program includes both beloved classics and brand-new songs as well as English-language favorites, but the focus is on Danish Christmas standards.
This year, Isabel Schwartzbach joins as guest soloist, having recently received glowing reviews for her role as Maria in The Sound of Music at Det Ny Teater.
