Create your own textile artworks with a focus on slowing down and nurturing creativity. In this workshop, you work with the droplet form and transform fabric scraps, textiles and threads into a completely personal piece of art. Through repetitive movements and experimentation with materials, you experience the meditative calm of handcraft – a break from screens and hectic pace.
The special technique: You sew with a specially dissolvable material, meaning your work is actually created without an underlayer. When the material is washed away at the end, only your textile artwork remains. No prior experience needed – come with curiosity and a desire to experiment.
Instructor: Dorte Wahlberg is a psychomotor therapist, artist and educator with over 25 years of experience using handcraft, body and creativity as pathways to presence and focus.
Practical: The event takes place at Kulturbodega Bellis, Graven 21, Aarhus C, and lasts 5 hours. Tickets are available for 400 DKK + booking fee. Note that tickets cannot be refunded.
