The Julekalender is a musical theatre production based on the popular television format, created for audiences from age 7 and up. The performance lasts 120 minutes with an intermission.
The three elves Fritz, Hansi, and Gunther arrive at an elf cabin in Jutland near the home of Oluf and Gertrud Sand. Their mission is to locate the key to the music box that ensures the survival of the elf king Gammel Nok. They carry with them The Great Book — a treasure trove of knowledge — and must at all costs prevent it from falling into the hands of the wicked Nåsåer. When the mysterious figure Benny announces his arrival at the Sands' door, the plot takes a dark turn.
Expect to reunite with Gertrud's iconic Christmas decoration box and "the mistletoe." Actors Gordon Kennedy, Niels Olsen, and Christian Damsgaard reprise their beloved characters on stage.
