Ucpanej systém is a cult classic from the renowned Dejvické Theatre – an iconic production now screening in full format premiere in Aarhus. The film is a remastered version of the original theatrical piece.
The story follows Bob, who loses his job, his place on the football team, and eventually his home. In desperation, he meets God himself in a bar – and God's sense of justice is decidedly unconventional. Based on Irvine Welsh's short stories from The Acid House, this production quickly became one of Dejvické Theatre's most beloved works. In 2012, the performance won the Alfred Radok Prize for Best Production of the Year.
Starring Ivan Trojan, Miroslav Krobot, Václav Neužil, Hynek Čermák, and Klára Melíšková.
Practical info: The performance runs 140 minutes with no intermission. The language is Czech with no subtitles – recommended from age 15 due to strong language and crude humor. Free seating. The hall opens around 18:45.
