Art on the Brain explores the meeting between art and brain research through works created by brain researchers from DANDRITE, Aarhus University. The exhibition presents both microscopic views into the hidden structures of the brain and artistic interpretations of neurons, synapses, and neural connections. Visitors are also invited to take part by writing down their thoughts and attaching them to the work "Garnhjernen".
DANDRITE is a center for basic brain research at Aarhus University, where researchers work to understand how the brain functions, develops, and changes. The exhibition can be experienced at Torvet during 22/9-30/9 within Dokk1's opening hours. On Friday 25/9, 17.30-18.30, you can meet one of the artists behind the exhibition, Andrea Moreno, at the talk 'Art and neuroscience - what happens when the brain meets art?'. The event is part of Folkeuniversitetets vidensfestival Hearts & Minds. Free tickets.
