Uffe Lorenzen performs a concert at Stengården in Todbjerg on Saturday 24 October. He will play his own songs as well as material from the album GLEMTE SPOR, which features interpretations of Danish protest songs from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. On stage, he is accompanied by his 12-string Yamaha, and bassist Trine Trash also appears.
GLEMTE SPOR consists of interpretations of Danish songs written between 1967 and 1999 and recorded in Nørrebro in collaboration with Morten Hart Grabowski. The repertoire revolves around war, peace, love and hate, and ranges from overlooked and obscure songs to new versions of classics associated with, among others, Røde Mor, Steppulvene, Erik Grip, Peter Belli, Alrune Rod, Kliche, Ulla Neumann, Hermann, Erik Maribo and Hul. Uffe Lorenzen is known as a solo artist and from the rock trio LYDSYN.
The concert takes place in the wood workshop at Stengården, described as a rustic venue with vintage decor. Beer and soft drinks are available at the bar. Doors open at 19.30, and the concert starts at 20. It is a seated concert, and wheelchairs can be accommodated if notice is given in advance. Admission: Standard 195,0.
