Coming Home explores the personal and often complex experiences adoptees encounter when returning to seek contact with their biological families. This event presents three distinctly different real-life stories, demonstrating the varied nature of such journeys.

Christina and Maria from the television programme Sporløs share their experiences from the moment they submitted their application, through the entire process of being reunited, to their meeting with their biological mother—which was broadcast on national television. Laura describes how she independently made contact with her biological mother via Facebook and subsequently travelled to Colombia to meet her family face-to-face. Ina reveals a different reality: her meeting with her biological mother in Sri Lanka was transformative, but the relationship proved complex and unstable, and they have little to no regular contact today.

As a former PAS coordinator working in international adoption, Ina also shares her professional insights and experience regarding return journeys.
