FAY is an innovative VR project that explores the complex emotional states of grief through cinematic storytelling and interactive elements. The experience combines artistic and narrative techniques with a research-based approach to make this normally difficult topic accessible in a sensory and reflective way.
The VR simulation was developed by MANND and is presented here in collaboration with Kamilla Brandt Pedersen, medical education researcher at the Centre for Educational Development at Aarhus University. During the event, you experience VR simulation of different states of grief and gain a science-based insight into how clinical psychiatry distinguishes between normal life reactions and mental illness.
The event is conducted in small groups with technical guidance and support. Recommended for people over 12 years old. Two sessions are held: 10.00–11.00 and 11.30–12.30. The event is part of Folkeuniversitet's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds.
