Workshop: Maria Viftrup – Rest in Your Mistakes

Join the workshop Rest in Your Mistakes with artist Maria Viftrup. Explore with her the installation Department of Specially Selected Errors and Defects, which consists of 1,227 markings of mistakes on the walls, floors, and ceiling of Kunsthal Aarhus. The work investigates the connection between error, speed, and sensitivity.

The workshop takes you through three stages: first, experiencing the artwork together with the artist; next, guidance in creating your own error note; and finally, a calm session where all participants rest in their own mistakes.

Maria Viftrup works experimentally with the undervalued and sensory – from organized sweeping dust to speculative total installations. Her colorful universe explores ecosystems, resources, value, and slowness. She has exhibited widely, including at Copenhagen Contemporary, ARoS, and Munkeruphus, and received the Danish Design Award Young Talent 2019.

Practical Information: The workshop lasts approximately 45 minutes and is held in two sessions: 11:30–12:15 and 13:00–13:45. Free participation with limited places – register on Billetto. Bring a blanket.
