On 24 September, Radar hosts an evening of alternative pop as Cucuun and SOPHIE-LOU take the stage in a program presented by Sonar. Both artists work with direct songwriting, electronic productions, and an expression where vulnerability, longing, and presence are central.
CUCUUN is a songwriter from Aarhus whose debut album "Chrysalis" moves between airy synthesizers, heavy electronic breakbeats, and an intense vocal. The music draws inspiration from artists including Oklou and Pink Pantheress. SOPHIE-LOU is the artist name of Sofie Emilie Maintz Thorsen, who combines a background in DR Pigekoret and an education in electronic composition with classical sonic understanding, DIY sounds, off-kilter synths, and heartfelt lyrics. On the debut EP "It's Easy to Be Soft," the clear and powerful vocal takes center stage.
The evening is curated by Sol Hendrup and Signe Knudsen aka Sonar, who are both volunteers at Radar and have been part of the development project Dansk Live Ung. The concert takes place at Radar, and admission is 85 kr.
