Aarhus Musikforening opens "The Classical Series" with a classical concert at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, Aarhus. The evening’s programme brings together two central works in Ensemble MidtVest’s repertoire: Schubert’s Octet and Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds in E-flat major, KV. 452, performed here in an arrangement for string quintet and wind quartet by J. Françaix. The concert offers an almost symphonic experience with a rich interplay of form, melody, and instrumental colour.
