An evening filled with artistic expression, where Persian craftsmanship and music meet. The fine details on the carpets – from geometric patterns to naturalistic designs – form the backdrop for this special musical and poetic experience.
The program combines traditional Persian folk songs with inspired poetic texts, all based on the craftsmanship of the carpets. Three musicians bring traditional instruments:
- Camilla Dayyani on piano and vocals
- Maher Mahmoud on oud
- Morten Carlsen on clarinet and shawm
Poetry is presented by P.C. Asmussen and colleagues under the heading "Text for the Times". Randa Rawan from Samlingshuset hosts the evening and serves tea and coffee among the beautiful carpets. Arranged by Bazarjazz and supported by Gellerup Culture Fund.
