A lyrical musical narrative about belonging and home. Knud Romer, a prominent voice in Danish literature and acclaimed author, meets singer-songwriter and troubadour Mikael K in a distinctive collaboration. Together they create a living performance where literature and music interweave.
The audience is invited into a poetic space where silence finds room, and words and music merge into one. The concert narrative circles around finding home – not as a destination, but as an inner state. Beginning with silence and contemplation, the artists open a space for reflection, where the whispered and the sung together give voice to what might otherwise be difficult to articulate.
Knud Romer is renowned for his linguistically musical novels with existential weight and received the Knight's Cross in 2024 for his contribution to Danish art and culture. Mikael K has spent over 20 years writing and singing his way into Danish consciousness – both as a solo artist and with the band Klondyke. His songs explore intimate everyday life and draw from often-overlooked details, and he has received multiple awards including the P4 Prize, DMA Folk, and the Carl Scharnberg Prize.
An intimate and thoughtful evening where tempo slows down and time is given to listen – to the music, the words, and what emerges between them.
