Create your own Japanese kokedama plants in a creative workshop combined with an organic brunch at Café Gaya. Experience the mindful tradition of shaping earth balls, wrapping roots in moss, and hanging small plant universes that shift in appearance with the light around you.
The day starts at 11.00 with a colorful brunch made from organic ingredients and an introduction to the history and aesthetics of kokedama. You then work with coconut fiber, coffee sacks, moss, leather twine, and various soil types under guidance. You can bring your own plants from home, or choose from those provided. Tea and snacks are served throughout.
The workshop format is perfect as a gift idea – create something living and sustainable together with a friend, partner, or family member. You take home up to three finished kokedamas, ready to hang in your own home.
Practical info: Runs from 11.00 to 14.00. Materials, instruction, and refreshments are included in the price. Feel free to bring plants from home that need new life – we also have some available on site.
