To mark Ovartaci's birthday, Museum Ovartaci is hosting a special guided tour of the permanent exhibition focusing on one of Denmark's most prominent outsider art artists. The tour traces Ovartaci's life from his admission to Psychiatric Hospital in Risskov to his many years of work as an artist, offering insight into how his life circumstances, identity, and imaginative world shaped a truly distinctive artistic practice. Ovartaci is regarded as a key figure in Danish outsider art and is known for works that connect personal experience with a highly original visual universe.
The programme begins at 14.00, with meeting point on the square in front of the museum. At 15.00, coffee/tea and layer cake will be served in the museum's garden room, and from 15.30-17.00 there will be time to explore the exhibitions on your own until the museum closes at 17.00. Admission: 290 kr. Registration is binding, and tickets are non-refundable.
