Lars Thiesgaard helped direct the Danish dubbing for many of the animated films that filled cinemas in the 2000s, working alongside a strong team at Sun Studio in Copenhagen NV. Now he takes us back through those films with memorable anecdotes from behind the scenes.
The evening covers films such as Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, the Shrek films, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, as well as Brother Bear, Tiger's Family Party and Dinosaurs.
Lars also explains how to direct children in the dubbing studio, talks about versioning games and performs a short live dubbing. Along the way we visit some of his many voices, including Dexter, Johnny Bravo, Sorteper, Piglet, Bob the Builder, the Joker, Pumbaa, Superman, Yoda and Scooby-Doo.
