The mini exhibition Prærien - da Skjoldhøjparken var ny focuses on how Skjoldhøjparken came into being and what everyday life looked like for the homeowners in the late 1960s and during the 1970s. The exhibition was created in collaboration between residents of Skjoldhøjparken and Den Gamle By, and tells the story through the residents' own photographs and words.
Visitors can also try a quiz about Skjoldhøjparken and use a conversation menu to explore what the good life in a residential area can be. The special exhibition is part of the project Fælles om fremtiden about sustainability in the detached housing neighborhood, supported by Nordjyllandsfonden and Aage V. Jensens Fond. The exhibition is shown at Den Gamle By and is free after admission to Den Gamle By.
