Torben Chris is one of the most distinctive voices in Danish comedy, known for his angry, hard-hitting and logical humour. Now he is ready with his fourth one-man show, LatterLIG, subtitled "humour will rise again".
The show takes aim at the most self-important trends of our time, politically correct absurdities and the things many of us think but don't dare say out loud. Over the past 8-10 years, Torben Chris has felt that comedy has been taken far too seriously and that political correctness has stifled humour. At times he has had to weather long debates and shitstorms on social media to stand by his right to poke fun at the spirit of the times.
Thankfully, the winds seem to be shifting, and it's becoming acceptable to joke about many things again. And if the time isn't quite ripe yet, Torben Chris is, as always, completely unbothered.
LatterLIG is boundary-pushing, provocative and laugh-out-loud funny. It is not a show for the faint-hearted.
