A relaxed wine evening with tapas, where five wines from Massimo Rattalino in Piedmont are tasted. You start with the fresh white Arneis, continue with Barbera and finish with Nebbiolo, presented in three versions: from Langhe, Barbaresco and Barolo.
Along the way, the winery shares insights about the producer, the region and the differences between the wines.
About Massimo Rattalino
The winery is located in Barbaresco in the heart of Langhe and grew out of a deep passion for viticulture and a wish to make wines that respect the region's traditions. Nebbiolo is at the centre, while Arneis and Barbera offer a glimpse of Piedmont's other sides.
In the vineyard, the focus is on careful cultivation, controlled yields and hand harvesting. Fermentation takes place mainly in stainless steel tanks, and large Slavonian oak casks play a central role in ageing. The aim is elegance, varietal character and wines that can develop over time.
