Learn the fundamentals of woodworking at this introductory course led by instructor Lene Kristensen. You will work with a classic stool model that provides insight into essential carpentry disciplines and hands-on experience with a range of important tools and machines – including circular saw, jointer, thickness planer, and router.
The course model is designed to take you through the full spectrum of woodworking and familiarize you with tools and machinery. All participants build the same fine stool, which you naturally take home after the course. Afterwards, you can continue with your own projects and designs at the workshop if you wish.
There is room for everyone – whether you have never worked with wood before or have experience. The course runs over two consecutive teaching days, from 10:00 to 15:00. The price is 1450 kr., and there is an additional material cost of approximately 150 kr., which is paid directly at the workshop. Teaching is conducted exclusively in Danish and includes introduction to and safe use of machines. You must speak and understand Danish to participate for safety reasons.
The course is arranged by Godsbanen's Open Workshops and the School of Art and Design at Godsbanen. Registration and payment take place online.
